It’s Fall!

The leaves are changing, the air is crisp, and the weather is…dreary, at least for now. As I am typing I can hear the repetitious drum of the rain as it falls on my roof. While I do sometimes find it soothing, I do miss the sunshine in the mornings before work. Sipping my coffee and writing as the wind softly rolls through the trees, there’s really nothing better.

For some fall means that pumpkin spice is finally here and Halloween is just around the corner, for others it’s a dreaded time that means winter is that much closer. I like to think that I am in the first category on this one. I have only experienced one winter since moving up to New York last summer, and while it was a whole new experience for me, I didn’t mind it. The driving was a little scary at first but isn’t every new experience daunting in the early stages.

Fall is a whole different ball game though. The weather is unpredictable, the rain comes out of nowhere, and everyone’s yards looks like tress just vomited their leaves up everywhere. When I was little I imagined that everyone just played in giant leaf piles and cleaning them up was easy, that is definitely not the case. Somehow leaves have even ended up inside my house and I find myself wondering how they managed to get from outside, to a completely different room of the house that is nowhere near any doors. I guess that one will just remain a mystery( I do have two small suspects in mind though).

Other than that, I really do enjoy fall. The colors of the leaves everywhere is breathtaking and when the sun is actually shining it makes the whole world seem alive with a bright orange hue. It all seems to give me new found energy and appreciation that you just don’t get in a state that is summer all year round. I have also had more than my fair share of Dunkin’s pumpkin spice iced coffees over the past few weeks so that could be the reason behind some of my new found energy.

That’s really all my rambling for now though, It is time to enjoy my yoga, do some homework and work my life away. Have a wonderful rest of your day wherever you may be and share if you will, I would really appreciate it :).

Oh, and a small update, as if to show me just how unpredictable the weather is. As I am finishing typing this, the sun has made its appearance again and the rain is gone.
